Weird PIM V and TPS issue

Okay so while trying to diagnose this sever bucking rpoblem I have, I decided to calibrate my map sensor today, while following chuck's notes I noticed through the diff ranges of vac and boost being applied via air compressor the PIM V never budged.

I plug up the stock sensor same thing, only when I stepped on the throttle, is when the PIM voltage started to go up and this was with the car off. So my PIM V is following my TPS , WTF is going on here, is the PFC in limp mode or something

The PFC does not have limp mode.

Sounds like you have a wiring issue. The TPS and MAP share the same 5v constant br/w wire, that is where I would start looking.

Okay well I pulled the harness and checked for continuity on both the F and EM to the MAP connector and they all matched and checked fine. So can it still be an wiring issue and if so how? I'm going to plug up a known working map sensor this evening from a friend and test his out.

I ought to mention it does this plugged or unplugged as well, it doesent matter its as if the MAP sensor is not there. As I apply throttle the PIM voltage increases and if I unplug the TPS all together the PIM voltage will max out as so will the VTA value....Seriously WTF is going on here???

Do you have access to another PFC you can swap in to verify that it is not something internal?

Yeah I'm going to swap my pfc and map sensor in a friends FD....If it does turn out to be an internal issue w/the pfc. Can I send it out for repair?

if you send it out to Apexi they put it on a boat to Japan and you won't see it for months.

Ok so I'm trying one more thing before I throw the towel in...Ok so I figured since I cant seem to find anything wrong in the harness wiring and the only thing wrong w/the PFC unit is the PIM voltage reading.............................

Well let me try the APexi 3 Bar map sensor harness which plugs directly into the 5 pin port side of the PFC thereby bypassing the wire harness totally. Also wouldnt the sensor be running off a different drive in the PFC?

Already ordered the $15 harness anyway, figured its definately worth a shot you know

FYI I did find the culprit and it was indeed an internal issue w/the Power FC that I bought from "ILOVEJDM". Nohing wrong w/the single turbo harness nor my map sensor.

There have been a few people who have sold bad PFCs thinking that the new owner would not discover.

How can that be?

Thanks but no thanks unless you all do actual "repairs", but I've done already checked, rechecked and thoroughly diagnosed the entire map sensor, connector & harness & it's w/out a doubt an internal error w/the pfc. I dont need it checked, I need it repaired and/or replaced or my $750 in CAD back from ILoveJdm aka Adrian Ahmadi
