secondary injector staging (later on-time)???

alright, im working on something. . . a bit theoretical at the moment and was wondering if the pfc/datalogit can stage the secondary injectors to come on later. . .

well, actually, what i need to know is at what point do they actually come on? i dont know if theyre load/boost related or rpm related or what. what i would like to see is that i could make them come on at a boost related point.

from my limited knowledge of the pfc and datalogit, i cant see where they my be able to be adjusted. maybe im missing something. . . maybe. haha. . . any help is appreciated.

thanks,
paul

This can be changed with the DATALOGIT setting 5 where the INJ stuff is.
I did some testing and posting about this earlier this summer.
With the Pri/Sec Transission % set at the stock 40% value, mine actually did not switch until 48%. This occured on partial and full throttle. The log contains this data and can be view in CHART format.

I changed my value to 30%.

changing that value. . . does that mean the point at which they begin to come on is user definable? so by playing with that percentage (which is where i figured it was), i can make the secondary injectors come on later?

i thought that transition % only applied to the size of the injectors being used. as in. . . certain combinations of injector sizes NEED to have a certain transition %. am i wrong or is it a place for me to be able to simply change the point of transition?

May be a silly question, but would your reasons be for doing this? I assume because you are reaching the limit of your primaries earlier or later than nessisary, that you just want to adjust when they transition..?

i want to adjust transition. . . just a little project im working on. . .

im actually wanting the primaries to work ALONE for a longer period of time. . . get the transition to come on later. . . that sort of thing. . . i really wish they were load based and could be turned on later in the map. . . geh. . . not that lucky.

The Pri/Sec transition (%) is the duty cycle point at which the secondary injectors will start to come on line.

The secondary transition (mS) is the starting pulse width of the secondaries injectors.

fasthatch, is there any way to make the secondaries come on at a load dependant point with your new software or is it something that is definately unchangable in the powerfc?

That would require to reprogram the PFC. And reprogramming the injector staging would be one of the harder tasks. I also don't see why you want to do this.
