RPM switch

Raymond in his PowerFC in FC3S guide is mentioning pin 4R as possible RPM switch.

I have semi pport engine, with vacuum operated butterflies for semis and would like to open them at desired set point.

They are closed by vacuum, to provide for better idle/low-end. They open by spring pressure once the solenoid will allow that.

Car is on FD3S powerFC, full FD harness.

Idea is to use this pin 4R to trigger the solenoid. Would it work? Does 4R have only on/off states (switched to ground).
And its setpoint is based on just rpm or load?

Thanks!

In my notes for the pinout and doing stuff on my Link ECU, it's a solenoid for the twins which only switches to on at 4500k. Don't know if you can control that rpm with the PowerFC, but it should be the switching rpm of the turbos.
But I think sequential turbos has to be activated for that
