Power FC Reward for FC-DataLogIt Help!
Reward for FC-DataLogIt Help!
Hi everyone.
I'm trying to get a handle on the popularity of FC-DataLogIt software.
I have a software utility that already works with PossumLink, LinkPlus, UTEC, Tec-2, and Tec-3 data logs and now I am investigating adding support for FC-DataLogIt data logs to it.
The software enables rapid and meaningful analysis of the information that is hidden within the ECU's data logs. It offers far more functionality than the manufacturers’ original software and access to it in a far easier way. Its combination of power and ease of use has already won it many satisfied customers.
One of its most popular features is the generation of Power Graphs directly from the data log, which prove excellent for monitoring performance gains from tuning or performance modifications.
If it looks like there is an enthusiastic FC-DataLogIt customer base out there, then over the coming weeks I'll happily add support. After that I'll need some technical beta testers to give the software a good thrashing, the reward being a free licence!
In the mean time does anybody in the know have any data logs lying around that they wouldn't mind emailing me for investigation purposes?
Thanks in advance,
Glenn

Glenn,
I use my Datalogit with my DIY Wideband several times per week to work on the tuning of my FD. I have a ton of logs
The logs are pretty big 5-15 megs in size each so they won't pass through my email server but I have thrown a couple samples up on my FTP for you to grab if you like.
If you have any software that you'd like me to try out, I'd like to participate

Hi Brian.
Thanks for those logs - I'll download them and have a look.
What I'm trying to gauge at this stage is whether there's a market for the software in the FC-DataLogIt world...haven't had much of a response on this forum so I'm a little unsure at the minute.
If there are other FC-DataLogIt users out there that would be genuinely interested in the finished product please register your vote!
Thanks,
Glenn

I guess one of the items needed to gauge real market interest is the cost of your utility. Most of us have $800-1,000 (plus laptop) into the Datalogit system (wb 02 sensor, controller, Datalogit). How much more will it cost?
Data Log Lab currently retails at 61.95 USD for the basic version with the US distributor:

A FC-DataLogIt license will come in at the same price.

Glen,
I am interested in your software utility. I have some logs to send you...many to choose from... 4 from dyno runs. Let me know what you're interested in and I'll send them....but to where??? support@dataloglab.com ???

Hi Dave.
Please send them through to support@dataloglab.com. I understand that you can data log a variable number of parameters with FC-DatalogIt, so some examples with just a few and some with as many as possible would be great.
The dyno runs sound interesting, though Data Log Lab's Power Graph feature requires a single gear run from 2k to redline on a level road (typically 3rd or 4th). Data logs of dyno runs don't usually mirror the rate of acceleration seen on the road from which Data Log Lab works out the torque being generated (given weight and gearing information).
Thanks in advance.
