primary injector duty

My injectors are set to run at 100%. However a friend of mine told me that it's not good for them and to have it run around 75 or 80%. Is there any reason for this. Thanks again guys.

Injectors are like any solidnoid, if they get really hot they start to malfunction.

Fuel injectors are normally safe in the 80% Constant Duty Cycle, but you can run them momentary in the 90-95% range.

But you never want the injectors to run at 100% because you could not be getting enough fuel to keep the motor together.

If the injectors are running near 100% because they are small then you need to upgrade, most of the time 550pri and 1600sec will run some high HP motors

There is no place in the PFC to set the INJ DC to 100%!
DC is determined by the injector sizes and total fuel being told to be delivered by them.

So what are you trying to say?

I think you can specify the base map in % fuel duty, see the pull down in the lower, it lets you toggle betyween the typical view in msec and other including % fule duty which you can set. I think my example shows the impossible situation of over 100% duty

If you look at it before and after a RECALC you may see some values over 100%.
So what is the base for 100%? I did a quik look and some testing and gave up as this veiw is stupid and useless in my world. MS is the real way to look at it.

Stupid options for weird people are occurring all over the world.

Its just a mathematical calculation applied to msec, based on RPM and INJ msec, how can arithmetic be stupid?

Math is not stupid.

Stupid or meaningless us of math is stupid. Especially when the results or use are useless. The % DC is a estimation that is not real or accurate because it does not know what fuel pressure is applied to the injectors.

MS of inj time is not an estimate. It is exactly what the PFC will apply.
