power fc map values.....q's

i recently purchased a power fc and commander and need to know the values of the 20X20 maps. i know the top numbers/letters are the rpm measures, but what values do the pressures stand for on the left of the screen.

any help would be greatly appreciated since there are no power fc "tuners" in my area.

thanks in advance!

ok, thanks for the reply, but i was kindof needing the values of the numbers... ie. 10000 11000 12000, so on.

i knew it was load, i just don't know what the numbers mean.

thanks again.

Well the load is calculated by a number of things, for RX7 I'm guessing from the TPS and MAP. To my knowledge it doesnt represent anything specific just a scale from zero to 20 but I'm probably wrong

hmmmmmm....... that could be it. just to let all know, i'm running this on a 97 honda civic. i just picked up an AEM wideband for some tuning measures. it feels as if it leans out on the top end. we will be doing some pulls w/ it tonite with the wideband to check the afr's but i know they're way off.

if anyone has more input, i would appreciate the suggestions.

On cars with a pressure sensor the load is manifold absolute pressure.

10000 = 1 Kg/cm²

Ok... third try... I can't find a unit..

g/cm² is wrong
Kg/mm² is wrong too
g/mm² is also wrong

It's up to you to derive a unit from kg/cm².

The units are in ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (ie, 1 bar = 0 inches of vacuum/pressure).

The units are in kg/m^3....10000 = 14.22 psi ~ 1 atm

Did you get the English manual with the PFC? If so, it explains what it is.
The manual also can be found online with a search.

Here we go again.

How is define the lowest value of scale, and the max of scale? I saw a map, wich as zero in the mid scale, negative values, and positive values. How can we define those values?
thx

If you want to change the P row absolute values used, you will need the DATALOGIT to do that. When you replace the stock map sensor with a 3 bar sensor, you also have to do this.

I calibrated my stock sensor to real absolute pressure for accuracy, and then changed the P16-P20 values to the correct values. I have posted this before.

Since the P row is absolute pressure, no way in the real world would you have a 0 or negative ABS value on our engines.

Row 10 is normally 10,000 ABS or 14.22 PSI ABS. Since 1 ATM ABS = 14.7PSI, P10 is really not exactly 0 psi boost, but very slight vacuum.
