I think my 10 year old FJO injector driver box has died. I used to to run 84 lb/hr and 165 lb/hr peak and hold injectors. I'm told nobody uses these injector boxes anymore, but I've been gone 10 years so I'm not up to speed. What's everybody use now to drive larger injectors?

 

Newer large capacity injectors are all saturated. They don't need the high opening current of a peak and hold to open them quickly enough to reliably run low pulsewidths.

 

Yeah that's what I'm discovering. Looks like some ID's might be in my future.

 

Driver box works. Looks like the injectors were stuck from being parked for over 10 years. I'm going to replace them rather than take my chances. FJO box removed to prove that I'm still as cool as you youngsters. ��

 

You’ll like the newer injectors. They’re going to be more linear and consistent than the old peak and hold injectors. Good choice to upgrade.

That said, Holley bought FJO years ago and rebranded much of their line. They still offer injector drivers, if anyone wants to go that route.
