AZ Logging AEM Fuel Pressure Sensor...

I am about to add a AEM fuel pressure sensor to my datalogit and wanted to verify that I am doing it correctly. This sensor requires a 5V power source. I have read that the Fuel Temp sensor is a 5V sensor and this sensor is not being used in my current configuration. The connector has actually been removed from my single turbo harness.

I have been looking through the FSM but have not been able to 100% confirm that the wire from the Power FC for the fuel temp sensor is indeed a 5V power source.

My plan was to power the sensor from the pin off the Power FC that was used for the Fuel Temp sensor. Ground the sensor to the block and run the 0 - 5V signal from the sensor to the datalogit.

Verification that the way I planned to incorporate this sensor to the datalogit for logging is correct or incorrect would be appreciated.

I'm no electrical wizard but couldn't you just run a 12v lead with appropriate resistors to lower the voltage to 5v?

I definitely think that is a possibility but I would rather use a 5V source that is already available.

Search my posts about using this sensor with datalogit, it's easy, you don't need a 5 volt power source, it puts out a 0-5v output signal, the purple wire connects to the datalogit, if I am remembering correctly.

Sorry I was thinking about my autometer fuel pressure sending, I don't know about the aem sensor.

link to the AEM one? tapping off of 5 volt reference should be fine. AEM just sells rebadged GM/Delphi stuff.

Just want to confirm. Is the pin from the Power FC that is for the fuel temp sensor is a 5V reference?

The fuel termosensor does not have a 5V ref. Pin 3I on the ECU is a 5V ref for the TPS. It will work for what you're wanting to do.
