LA Area Best tuning Power FC on dyno shop.

Looking to get a 3rd gen dynoed and tuned with the Power FC. Any shops in the LA area any good with their dyno machine and the Power FC commander for 3rd gens? I know TriPoint only deals with Motec, Tec II, and EFI.

I need shop locatioin and #.

I called them up and their Dyno Machine will be down for a month & a half. They are moving to Huntington Beach.

From first hand knowledge yes they are moving.

If you want to take the PFC somewhere else there are really no other Pro dealers in LA. You can do it with the commander but then you only access 1/2 the tuning parameters.

Best bet is to wait till they reset shop. Also XS is not only a pro dealer but Apex'i MASTER Distributor and the best source on PFC tuning and questions.

ditto...

who and where is sp engineering?

xs is indeed moving...I need to get on the dyno asap. Im very careful about driving my car hard until I know its tuned right...

however...I did quite a bit of research on who else can dyno tune the pfc...had NO LUCK AT ALL...xs seems to be the monopoly in that skill set.

SP Engineering is in the City of Industry, they do good stuff but their shop is pretty small. I know a guy that works there and as far as I know they do not have a dyno in house, I don't know where they do their tuning or if they have the software.. I will check on that and get back to you guys.

XS engineering is the ONLY tuner in California with the Power Xcel Software. I have a few friends that have had their power FC's tuned with this software on the dyno, and none have any complaints what so ever. For most people the datalogic tuning is good enough. But for Artguy and others like me in Socal, why not get it tuned with the proper software? XS is expensive, and it sucks that we have to wait till they move, but I don't think anyone can tune a power FC better. YMMV.
