hey i finally was able to get my idle to be sitting around 1100 with a fuel ratio of 11.3ish.. but i cant seem to get it any leaner...

 

That is exactly where mine idles with 4x850's and a street port... banzai racing says it should be able to get 850rpm with afr's of 13:1... I haven't tried yet but is a good goal eventually.

 

i can set my idle to 850 manually with the idle adjustment just i cant lean the mixture out it just sits at 11.5 or so.. i dunno.. maybe i should try timing?.. or... any other sugggestions are welcome

 

It can't all be done from the laptop, you have to get into the engine bay and set up the TB properly.

 

yea i can set the tb to idle at 850 no problem but im talking about the afrs. i want a lean mixture while im idling

 

If you want a low idle you wont get a nice idle at lean mixtures on a rotary. Theres a reason they have an airpump standard

 

Put the primary 550s back in if you don't want a rich idle, that's what I ended up doing after having the 850s in there, the 850s dump too much fuel in during idle and can't be leaned out easily. the 1600s secondarys provide plenty of fuel.

 

Hey Tom, what peak duty cycles are you seeing with the 550 + 1600 's I am thinking about going somewhere along that route with may car soon also...

 

I push the turbos up to 23 lbs of peak boost sometimes (only in cold temps) and the duty cycles are in the 80s or 70s with little less boost, I don't even have to pay attention to them, its all good.
