So I unplugged the wastegate and pre turbo control solenoids, so my car is only boosting at 7 psi. It's boosting very stably at that level.

I driving the other day and did a couple small pulls, not even completely WOT. A few minutes later I glance down at the commander and I noticed the Peak Knock is reading a 94........

I don't understand this, is it even possible to be knocking that high with my setup? I have bolt ons like an intercooler, airbox, straight exhaust, and a supra fuel pump... running 91 octane... My peak injector duty values were 48%. My powerFC is still on the base map, but I still don't see why it should be knocking so high at only 7 psi. What are the plausible reasons?

That's what I'm hoping it is... was just curious if there's any explanation or probable cause that would actually lead to high knock with my setup

 

I went out on a drive today to examine this a little more closely. The knock levels definitely seem correlated with RPM. I even tried revving in neutral to 3000, and this caused knock to go up to about 60. Similarily, I did a small pull to about 4.5k and the knock was also peaked at around 60 at that time too

By looking at Knock bar on the commander, I'm under the impression that the max bar is equal to 150 knock?


anyway, does all this sound like it's most probably just noise or is there something bigger?
