fast hatch. . . im thoroughly enthused in your product. i am so glad that you decided to step in!!!! thanks so much for that.

so, as far as boxes being built. is there anyway you could build a box that interfaces with the datalogit box to allow a water injection interface? having that would be AMAZING!!! as far as i know the datalogit box doesnt have that kind of capability. if you were able to make a box that would interface with it, instead of making a totally new box for us to buy, that would be awesome.

i am eagerly awaiting the release date for this software.

thanks,
paul

That would be a piggy-back for a piggy-back. I won't make any modifications, updates or anything else for the Datalogit box. It's not worthwhile.

Will this be compatable with the FC Commander PRO cable? I noticed it in the drop down menu for interface.

The next version can be used with the FC Commander Pro cable and can open the old FC Pro file format, the new FC Pro file format and also the FC Commander Pro file format

A new version is available for download. Monitoring and the new FC Pro and FC Commander Pro file format is now supported. The calibration can also be saved in the new format.

The RB26DETT 7.03B model is now also partially supported (no monitoring yet).

http://www.fctune.com/download/FCTune_0_53.exe

It would be great if some people could try monitoring and let me know if it works.
(Just click Monitor > Monitor and Play with the Datalogit connected)

There is still a lot of work left, i guess version 1.0 will not be released before the end of the year.

Is here a designer on the board who could make me a nice splash screen?

I think a water injection would need an injector driver. Why don't you just get a MF2? I think the interest in a water injection is low, i don't know a lot of people who ever had one.

the rotary community is HEAVILY into them. it would benefit largely to us if the software were to allow us to TUNE the water injections on and off points. . . not necessarily tuning its ratio. . . just the on/off points.

i currently have a coolingmist kit. . . its stand alone and works out VERY well. . . exactly the way id like the powerfc to control it. . . the only reason i ask for it is because itd be A LOT simpler of an installation if we could simply run a wire or two into the box. let fctune tell the solenoids when to click on and were set.

I don't think that i will add such a feature to the box. With the car stereo it is possible to load and save different calibrations.

Wow, this is simply awesome! I can't believe I didn't spot this thread until now. I'm ready to throw down some money when the box comes out and the software looks great!

How is the testing on the converter box going? Do you have anyone running maps that have been created from FC Tune? Also how is the wideband o2 tuning part coming along?

Fasthatch,
Will FCTune be compatible with the upcoming Apex Commander Pro Cable? Do you know if it will have any WB02 inputs?

Thanks for all your hard work.

It will be (it is) compatible with the FC Commander Pro cable, but the cable has no o2 inputs.

I have a spare RX-7 PFC now so i can do all tests on my desk now. I will make a poll with feature requests (Number of inputs/outputs etc.) for the box and then i have to see which microcontroller (Atmega, 80CXX) i have to use. I will also try to modify the PFC in some ways.

AP Engineering Power FC units carry the same functions as the regular Power FC units but have been specially adopted for use on car models that the regular Power FCs do not cater for.

The software interface is the same as for the regular CA18DET 3.13
So yes, FC Tune will work, but FC Edit does also.
