I just ran into this last night. Make sure you pick the correct COM port using the Port button on the far left, before clicking on scan. If the wrong port is selected, it'll create 0k files.

i give up on this program!! 2 years following!! still incomplete!! use the datalogit
it cost a ton but its on the market and for sale!!!

 

i had the datalogit for 2 years while following the fc tune!! the datalogit works great!! for self tuners

 

Good call! Patience is quite overrated anyway.

Quality software is not an overnight process. If you need something this second, get the Datalogit. Otherwise, be appreciative that someone is writing such a quality replacement for FREE.

 

my point is if your to cheap to buy the datalogit just wait for this program to drop!! not say its junk but the time frame is over lapping!! and nothing is free!!

I am completely appreciative.. I think that FastHatch has made huge progress with this software. The significant drawback keeping it from becoming truly useful is its inability to read the analog inputs. Can't tune without inputs. Without that ability it is just a colorful way to set my idle speed.. i.e, not much better than the datalogit software.

 

Thanks for your feedback, I know that this is one of the top priorities items.
As said I will devote my vacation the whole next month (march) to get a new version out.

How many analogue inputs are your planning? Personally I need a lot of them for my carputer, like:

EGT for all 6 cylinders
2x Wideband
Oil Temp
Oil Pressure
Fuel Pressure
Gearbox Temp
++

It would also be nice with some digital inputs as well for 2x turbo speed sensors.

I know this is a lot to ask as most people only require input for one wideband. What do you think?

Went out and bought a datalogit
Couldn't wait for this one to get ready...

But at least I can now try the software But did I read it right, FCTune isn't able to read analog inputs, like wideband lambda for instance ?

Ik kreeg gisteren mijn datalogit binnen :-)

has a scan for the RB26dett power fc been posted yet? (D-jetro version)

 

I have a scan of the RB26DETT v3.12B, but there are many more versions of the RB26DETT. Also it wouldn't hurt to have two scans of a model

 

Hmm, I've been trying to connect to my power fc, but FC-tune wont connect. I am using the FC-datalogit (black box version 2.0) and on COM9 (as confirmed by datalogit, yet FC_tune wont connect for a scan....

I can't seem to find the option to scan on datalogit either.

 

Ok, it just worked all of a sudden, this is a scan for the RB26dett v7.34a I assume, D-Jetro model (uses MAP sensors and not maf)

If you have no analog inputs but you have control over software - you can read stuff from Innovate Wideband and log together with PFC data. Just an idea..
