Power FC FC Tune preview
A friend of mine told me that this is now for sale? By the looks of this thread it doesn't appear so. Also, do you have to already have a datalogit for this to work or is it a stand alone peice that interfaces with a Power FC?

Will this piece have a 2 step built in like the older datalogit? They told me the new datalogit does not come with the 2 step since it causes the datalogit to freeze and it has to be reset often.
The two step is also called launch control, or antilag. It allows you to build boost at the starting line for killer launches. Apparently from datalogit tech support it has a tendency to freeze up the datalogit. Theres a procedure to reset it if it happens.
I do believe the datalogit forums are much more active now with the creators poking their head in. With regards to the freezing of launch control I do remember seeing something about an update thats been released or is being worked on. Unsure exactly you would have to check out the datalogit forums.
Can someone approve me on the datalogit forum? I sent them an email with my serial number for the power fc and they said someone is already using that number and I bought this unit brand new. Maybe I signed up a while ago and forgot the password or something.

MUCH more professionally written, many more features, MUCH more efficient (C++ vs VB6), FREE, works with any PFC interface (not just datalogit), is maintained and developing instead of stagnant, extensible......
When will this be available... Even though it's free I still think you should be rewarded for this... You should leave your paypal addy here so Rx7 owners can send you donations...
This will be awsome

No, the software is free and you have the choice of buying his improved interface box, building your own, using the Pro cable, or using a datalogit. So he isn't requiring you send him any money at all. But I do like that Paypal idea. I think a lot of people would probably like to show their gratitude once they start using this thing......

I still need a lot of icons, all the fuel settings doesn't have one yet.
These are the icons from the AEM software:

My ideas are:
Cranking = Start button
Injectors = One Injector
Injector Overlap = Two Injectors
Injector lag time = One injector and a pulse

Icons are necessary because if there is not enough space for the labels only the icons are displayed.

Icons must be 16x16 pixels. The icon also doesn't have to be perfect, if the idea for the symbol is good that would help a lot.
Btw. the user interface is the one from Office 2007.

Also more helpful than a donation would be a reply to this question.
The PFC controls the Metering Oil Pump, so there must be an output. But is there also an input? Maybe someone could look this up in the service manual?

The Stepping Motor Position is the output from the ECU and the Position Sensor Voltage is the Input to check the position??? So the full name of VMOP would be Stepping Motor Position Sensor Voltage?

From what I understand (not much), and looking at my logs the MOP is based on RPM and Water Temp(datalogit menu). I can not tell if there is more than just RPM and Water Temp. as the change verses pressure or TPS are so small I could not tell where it came from. The service manual only talks of voltages at idle and throttle opening giving a value of 1.1 v at idle and 1.1-4.2 v at during acceleration. Not sure if this helps or not.
With the stock ECU, there is an input and output for the metering oil pump. The output gives the MOP the signal of how much oil to inject. There's a potentiometer in the MOP that gives the position of the pump - that is output back to the ECU as a diagnostic loop, in a way. So, the ECU gives the MOP a command to give x amount of oil, and the MOP then sends back to the ECU what it did - if the two match, all is OK, if not, the ECU throws a code for the MOP and puts the ECU in limp mode as a failsafe.
According to the shop manual, it's just a 0-5v output, with around 1.1v at idle the norm and 4.2v at full throttle.
Hope that helps - I'm getting REAL excited about FC Tune, BTW

I guess VMOP is the voltage reading from the position sensor (input) and under advanced is the output. I'll test if the position changes if I change the input voltage.
Does anyone have a 13B1 3.11 Power FC here?
