More than likely i won't work on a version for the Palm. Maybe a limited version that supports monitoring and logging. I suggest that you get a CE device. I guess there are less than 10 Palm users, so just get a new cell phone together with a free CE handheld

Just in case that it wasn't clear that it was a joke, you can choose whatever color you like

I'm waiting for some of our suppliers to get back to me with quotes, samples and the prototype board. I've set myself a limit of $200 retail for the 'box' and i'm currently figuring out what is possible for that price.

Just looked through my emails, the scan for the RB20DET 2.32B was succesful.
0.53 and 0.54 worked both.

I'll get back to you soon.

Fasthatch, keep the good work!

Have you ever checkout aem's software? It has very user friendly functions especially when setting the scalings of the things. Personally I wish smoothing the values by using my mouse on a curve.

Thumbs up

Andre you're doing a wonderful job with this software, I've been keeping track of this since you started and I'm eagerly waiting for the finish product. I'm holding off on buying the datalogit because I rather have your products. Thanks keep up the good work

I'm not finding any place to download the latest version. is there an older one I can play with?

I don't get it WHY are you doing this?
You never mention using it for money and you put an enormous amount of time and effort into it. Are you using this program as a resume builder? Of course you don't have to answer this question but I am curious.

From what I have seen it's going to be better than any other software I have tuned with before. Congratulations!
If you have a minute. Can you run over the features of the box you are building? It sounds like it will have more capabilities than the current datalogit offerings.
Thanks for all the hard work!
Greg

Some people love to build something new, some loves to use it. Most of the posts to this thread is about the respect to his work so it should be a pleasure for him. Moreover, it is good experience for him to understand the EMS and can use it in his portfolio for future.

When i had bought my Datalogit 2 years ago to tune my Civic i wasn't really happy with the software. It wasn't easy to get up to speed with it, there was no documentation, many settings have no units, some values are even displayed in a raw format (Inj vs Accel TPS, Input / Settings for example). You can then either start to complain about it or if you have the possibilities make something better. End of 2004 i then started to make my own application because competition is always a good thing. And the software is free because i don't want anyone who has already purchased a Datalogit to pay twice.

Thanks for all the hard work!
I'll post some pics of the board next week.

Those who are interested in the technical background, i've stripped the model descriptions from the source code and put them into XML files. FC Tune needs some infos about each model, which channels does it have, which sensors, how to communicate with the PFC, which settings does it support. It was ok to have these in the source code when only VTEC and FD3S models were supported, but so far i have 179 different PFC models on my list
I don't know the total number but i guess around 200.

If you want support support for a certain model, please drop me a PM, first come first serve.

It'd be cool if someone could make icons for the following settings:

- Rev/Idle
- Boost Control
- Sequential turbo
- o2 feedback (Closed loop)

These are the icons from the FC Pro software:

(Right click, save as, to download bitmap)

The icons may look similiar.

The icons must have a width of 16 pixels and a height of 15 pixels.

Fasthatch can you place a link for the software versions .
I cannot find any link beyond version 0.53
You have made referance to versions 0.54 and 0.54a.
Do any of these work with Rb25DET ? Thanks Ashley.

I've added support to monitor the sensors now. But when I've just added the sensors to the channel window the result wasn't satisfactorily.

Channels that belong together are scattered, some are duplicated etc.

Tune now automatically removes duplicated channels and group them. I'm undecided if an option to group the channels by there type (all mS among each other etc.) makes sense.

P.S.: I'll post a pic and some infos about the 'box' later today.

I would like to add pre-defined graphs to Tune so that you can select the default and your custom graphs from a menu.

It would be nice if you could email (andre at fctune dot com) or post your Datalogit graph files.

Some graphs may be car independent, others not.

I also would like to see which colors you have choosen. Light blue and dark blue on the same graph might not be the best idea. There are not too many colors where you can easily tell the difference.

Every channel gets a default color and it would be great if the default color never needs to be changed. So if two channels are used on the same graph they must not get the same color. If they are never or rarely used on the same graph they may get the same color.

André
