Power FC fan control
fan control
I know that the stock computer uses all 4 relays to run the stock fans. How does the PFC go about controlling them? Does it use all 4 relays to run the fans through all of the different modes, or does it just do an on/off operation? I am asking bc I am thinking of going to new fans, mine burnt up, and was wondering if I could pull a couple of those relays out. Anyone know?

In the dark? Maybe, or either I have thought about this too much and just confused myself. I know the stock computer uses all 4 relays to run the Fans. Are you saying that the PFC manual tells you it uses all 4, or that it only runs in a certain mode? I'll have to read them again when I get home in the AM. Like I said in the first post, I am installing new fans, and want to know if some of the relays can be pulled. Thanks for the help.
manual
Yeah, I read the manual about it, and I understand how it goes about controlling the speeds and fans on/off time. I just wonder if I install new FAL fans (or something similar) whether or not I need to leave all that in, or if I could pull off just running new relays for those fans. Wouldn't it be more simplified to just run them on high? I don't drive this car alot, its not a daily driver, and it can get right hot and humid here, so running them at full on, for the few times I drive the car shouldn't be a bad thing. Thoughts? And thanks for the imput, I appreciate it.
If you have aftermarket fans with only a single speed, then you only need one relay to run them. Pick a relay that always is on when the temperature is reached with the PFC.
Our fan motors are wired for three speeds and you can wire them to always run thatway by using jumper wires to energize them.
