Cat delete, do I need to adjust my tune? Is it simple enough to do myself?
Hello all, first post on this forum. I’ve recently picked up a 93 with a catless DP and a PFC with the commander. I’m considering running with no mid-cat, but I’m worried about boost creep. Would the PFC be able to control boost to accommodate? Or would I have to go into the controller settings and adjust to compensate?
The PO, my next door neighbor actually, said the PFC is currently mapped “very conservatively and reliably” for longevity’s sake.
If I do have to go and adjust the tune, would the changes be simple enough for me to do on my own through the commander?

Boost creep is due to the wastegate being overwhelmed, there's no "controller" or using the PFC to fix it. You have to port the wastegate or add/keep restrictions to stop boost creep. Whether you get boost creep or not is going to depend on the other mods outside of the downpipe and a midpipe you're considering.

You most likely would have some adjustments to make. I would definitely keep an eye on the AFRs.
Creep will be the biggest issue. If your with stock twins you will get creep. I think you are playing with fire unless you know what you are looking for. It will creep. I have some new efini "sp" twins I will probably get creep from also as I didn't port the wastegate. It is larger than the other twins, but probably not large enough. I will probably put my hi flow cat back on just to have everything under control. I am running a DP, magnaflow mid pipe and a more restrictive RB dual tip muffler.
Porting the waste gate can lead to cracks from what I understand (which makes sense), that's why I chose not too.
