opinions and why?
alright here is the background. I have a stock turbo set-up, DP, intake, Med SMIC the high flow cat is coming soon . I just bought a PFC and an Innovate WB02 uninstalled. I had sequential problems after a hose job so I diagnosed that sucessfully. When I got it fixed I tested the pattern and I was getting creep on the secondary transition. I saw the needle hit like 14 and I let off the gas, this was getting on the freeway. So I ordered a MBC, I installed that but I have not dialed it in. Here is my question, I am installing the PFC, should I keep the MBC on and dial it in before I install the PFC? or should I take the MBC off and use the PFC to control boost? or both. What is my best scenario with this? all opinions and/or guidance is much appreciated. Thanx

should I take it out and let the PFC do learn mode and then put it back in to control max boost? I am just worried that if I leave the MBC it will mess up what the PFC learns and reads, is there something I am missing?
Hope I don't come off as an ******* bit it sounds like you got a boost spike at transition? Creep occurs at higher rpms well past transition due to open exhaust and your mods indicate a stock main cat and catback; this should net zero creep. Maybe the hose job messed up stock boost control resulting in a spike at transition?

your right it was a little spike. I don't know about if that caused a problem but I tested every piece of the control system for proper operation. I am at a mile higher than sea level, if that has anything to do with it. My friend that has nearly the same set-up, he has a high flow and I do not, has the PFC and says it controls his boost and he also does not get any spikes or creep. So maybe the stock cat is causing my problem? I am getting a bonez soon. Will the MBC conflict with the PFC learning the stock boost pattern when I install it? I have the stock pill and can replace it easily. What do you guys think?
I was helping someone setting up the target boost by adjusting the duty cycles via the Commander. The boost level would not rise. Later I learned he still had his MBC connected.
He disconnected it and now the PFC is allowing him to reach his target boost.
I have had success using the PFC to control boost, but others have not.
I would suggest using the PFC to control boost without the MBC and if the PFC does not control boost to your satisfaction, you can later hook up the MBC.

I have needle valves in place of the pills on my seq setup and use the PFC to adjust the solenoids and it boosts great, holds rock solid at 1 kg/cm2 (14.2psi). I also have a ported wastegate and midpipe though.
Ive been using just my PFC to control boost for quite some time now. It works great but I was limited to 14psi as anything above it could not be controlled. If you want help setting it up let me know, I live in fort collins also.
I had difficulty controlling boost in 2 FDs running Power FCs. One had minor mods - DP, cat back, small SMIC; the other has major mods - full exhaust, FMIC, injectors, street port etc. The biggest problem was in the colder winter months where I had it set at 10psi and it would run 12psi. No amount of dialing duty cycles down would work. In both cases I installed a used Greddy Profec B Spec 1 and it fixed the issue.
