Power FC anyone in here running a MSD6a with your PFC???
Since the aftermarket IGNITION SYSTEM ENHANCER connects between the stock ignitor and stock or aftermarket coils; it does not make any difference if the ecu is stock, modded stock, or PFC. The signal from the ecu to the ignitor, and ignitor to coils are the same in functionality and voltage/current.
The only problem might be if the stock coils cannot handle the MSD/Crane, etc; output which is different than the ignitor output. The the coils might fry.

Well, thats what I figured but Ive heard from some Haltech guys with a MSD Digital 6 (which has some timing features and other thinks the 6a doesnt) that they were having some probs. Anyway, they were having to install it a certain way that seemed fairly complex to get it to work right.
I just wanted to make sure I wouldnt run into any probs with the regular 6a and the PFC.
I really didnt think I would but it never hurts to ask lol, I like to know before hand than to trouble shoot later.
Thanks Chuck,
STEPHEN

I just installed a Digital 6 Plus and a DIS-2 in a car with a PFC. Running fine. In fact, better than fine. <g>
The only Haltech issue I ever heard about was the need to tell the Haltech to run in direct fire mode. I'm curious what problems they were having and what the solution was. Not that I know anything about Haltechs, but I'm curious nonetheless.

SPOautos and Goblin, I just bought the same 6a setup with 4 blaster coils but have not installed it yet. I was worried about the 3 6a`s not working well with the power FC. Where did or where are You going to mount the amps? I have made a custom bracket for the coils, but I think I will have to do what G Monson did and install them in the rear hatch.
