another d-jetro PFC map sensor thread...

Hi, im wondering if anyone was using BOSCH 0 281 002 401
or Magnetti Marelli APS0501 ? both are 3 bar map sensors OFC.

The reason why im asking is just because im after 2 map sensors at the mo...
My d-jetro PFC comes with commander and sensor wiring,
but there was no sensors unfortunatelly.. (RB26 require 2sensors)

New sensors package from negnum or JPS plus shipping from Japan
is nearly what i have paid for PFC itself

im also having complete AVCR and one spare sensor from another avcr kit...
will they works properly with d-jetro ?

I have used the SR20 D jetro with the Datalogit, but not the RB26 (SR20's are somewhat common, but RB26's are extremely rare in the USA). Does the RB26 allow you to set the scale and offset for the MAP sensors? If so, you can use whatever sensor you want as long as you enter in the proper scale and offset.

Do you have a Datalogit? Can you post the factory pre-installed map on your RB26 D Jetro?

no i dont, actually my PFC wasnt even fitted.
i gues there must be an option to set scale and offset values,
like on all other PFC's...

actually im looking for datalogit or another tune soft and cable.
PFC will be tuned in near future by specialist ofc.

if you get your hands on a Datalogit, use it to connect to the PFC and download the map that's in there. then post up the .dat file that is created when you save. If I can see what the map looks like I can help you more. I've used SR20 D jetro and I've used Rx-7 (which are all Djetro) but I would have to see what the RB26 D jetro has available in terms of settings.

sure, as soon i will get my hand on i will

does the AVC-R map sensor works w.out scalling with d-jetro's
maybe some of the options avalible to choose (scale and offset) are related to the avcr sensor ?

The AVCR map sensor is not the same sensor as the one used in Djetro kits and Power FC boost control kits. the part numbers are different and they look different. PM me your email address, I will send you an excel spreadsheet for calculating scale and offset for using non standard sensors with the PFC. it is set up for american psi units, not kPA, but I'm sure you can make it work.

or you can just get a GM 3 bar sensor. one calibration to use for that is scale 6630 offset 0.

http://banzai-racing.com/store/3bar_...r_adapter.html <---this should plug up directly to the Djetro pressure sensor harness. The Apex'i Djetro kits and boost control kits all use the same connectors as the FD does from the factory. The connectors are made by AMP/Tyco (Econoseal II family of connectors).

or if you want cheaper, http://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/pro...oducts_id/1584 and then buy the connector pigtail on that site and wire it up yourself

sure i will, but might be more usefull for RX7 owners,
not many RB26 owners choose d-jetro version of PFC....

here is how BOSCH looks like :

they are used in VAG group, with diesel engines
(1.9/2.0 TDI - engine codes - ARL/ASZ) - 130/150hp

Audi A6 (4B,C5) : od 2001 - 2005 r : 1.9 TDI
Audi A6 Avant (4B,C5) : od 2001 - 2005 r : 1.9 TDI
Audi A6 (4F2) : od 2004 + 2.0 TDI
Audi A6 Avant (4F5) : od 2005 + 2.0 TDI
etc.

These cost fraction of apexi/denso units, and even less than GM map sensors.
I have paid ca. 25usd for each NEW

These are also integrated with temp sensor,
which is actually totally unuseless for me...

PINOUT :

1 GND
2 TEMP OUT
3 +5V
4 MAP OUT

(pin numbers are also stamped inside the unit,
where the plug is connected)

just to confirm the parameters i have mention above..

SCALE 6722
OFFSET 650

these are 100% correct, I have tested this on my PFC yesterday and it works perfectly

so this sensor is both an ambient Air temp sensor AND MAP pressure?

i need to solve both issues, perhaps it will take care it it for me.

time to hunt dta standalone for VW sensors....

It's not uncommon to have a combination MAP/IAT sensor on a turbo car. The Taurus SHO has two.
