Unhappy after my downpipe.... and i tuned... but the car feels slow

guys,

it's been awhile since i last disturbed the forum... i have a small question over here.

i don't know what i really did... but here's the situation. after i install my downpipe..

1) sometimes the car choke quite badly on low RPM when decelerating.. sometimes it happens with very mild throttle movement. normally close to 0 PSI range... is it too lean or too rich ?... or is it because of any ignition timing that i need to adjust ?

2) after installing the downpipe, typically we need to retard the timing a littl to compensate as it will cause the engine to take more air in... and also adjusted the INJ vs ACCEL.. increase the left column by 0.25 for the 4000 till 7000 range.
the after effect of all these changes.................
i feel my car is slower... the RPM pull is slower... not as fast as when i was having my original downpipe...the G force is similiar....not as powerful as people claimed.. but the car is just louder...alot louder especially on the downpipe sound..

what should i do for my above questions ? richen up ? increase the ignition timing back ? or any changes that i have to do ?

ok.. dumped in more fuel on the low end RPM.. managed to reduce the choking dramatically, but still there's once in awhile choking... but not as bad as previously..

as for the power issue, tried some other people's IGL map.. the power is back.. but realised that it's retarding quite significantly... no idea if i'm retarding too much or not..

previously my IGL on WOT can reach up to 23..... but now i'm using something like 12 or 13.... but it gives me alot of power...

just wonder...boosting at 0.85 bar
intake, DP, MP, Catback, stock IC,

what is the typical value of IGL for WOT ?

There is no real fixed IGL at WOT!

Engine mods, boost and fuel octane are the basic three categories affecting timing.

Timing does not become static unless you have a mechanical distributor. Then you can say max timing is XYZ. ECUs have dynamic timing unless you have one of the old fashion out of date timing maps where the timing tops out around 5000 and continues to redline with the same value. Some people still program ECU this way, but it is a cop out.

We are talking about basic street engines, not race engines under high boost and racing or exotic fuels.
