Exclamation New Products

I just added some new products to our online store. Among these are a line of 12 gauge CNC Laser Cut Stainless Steel block-off plates, including turbo and non-turbo 13B Air Control Valve (ACV), S4 T & NA Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR), S4 Oil Metering Pump (OMP) and S5 OMP. The ACV blockoffs have a Ninja graphic on them we are trying out for the hell of it -- one of our employee's girlfriend drew it up for us and we have actually sold thousands of dollars of t-shirts with it on Cafe Press, so we thought we ought to try it on other things to see if people like it. Perhaps it will catch on with the drifters...

Where to find in the online store: https://www.pineappleracing.com/inde...S&Category=105

BTW, that pricing is subject to change. I have not even received the bill from the laser cutting shop yet, so I don't know what we paid. I have also not checked out the prices of any competitors to see where the market lies.

We also made some more 12ga SS CNC laser cut Crank Angle Sensor Covers with the Ninja graphic, as well as more of the regular Pineapple Racing Logo ones.

Progress has been slow in getting more items on the web site, but I finally got around to virtually all the exhaust gaskets, both Mazda OEM and our special graphite aftermarket replacements, which can allow for up to .040" warpage!

And, finally, we are offering the best exhaust locknut in the universe: a copper-clad steel toplock.

Forgot to mention the addition of our Heavy Duty Water Seal Kit. This is not the notorious Teflon encapsulated silicone stuff from other places, but our own superior Viton-based set. We tested these seals for 7 years in numerous street and track cars before offering them to paying customers. Now, we use them in all our 5-year warranty engines. Among other things, one of the advantages is that if you ever need to get back into the motor to freshen it up or fix damage, these seals are virtually always reusable, provided you did not damage them somehow. You open the motor, pull out the seals, let them "rest" for about 30 minutes and they miraculously return to round and remain pliable. Great for when you are testing engine setups and must get back into the engine to change or fix things...or when you push too far and grenade a motor. Stock seals just cannot be reused after even a couple heat cycles, unlike these.

The kit includes not only the water jacket o-rings but also the front cover o-ring (and backup washer, for S5/6 motors), dowel o-rings, rear stationary gear o-ring and the oil pedistal o-rings.

FYI: Please note that while Viton (a special grade of it, BTW) works well in this application, it is not ideal for all applications. In particular, we have found it is very unsuitable for oil control ring o-rings. We have torn apart dozens of 10, 20 and 30K old motors that smoked like pigs and had aftermarket Viton oil control ring o-rings. That never happens with the more expensive florinated rubber OEM oil control ring o-rings.

You guys need to add a pineapple to the graphic, like the ninja is flying through the air about to chop it in half.

The ninja graphic is cool, but the pineapple racing logo by itself would look classy

Now that is some *very* interesting news. Thanks for sharing it . I never saw the need to use the viton oil control o-rings because the stock ones have always worked fine without failure, and never used them in any of my builds, thank goodness

A couple of other quick things:

(1) Do those HD water seals help prevent against seal failure from running hot/overheating? Also, will they possibly cure the mysterious "my coolant seals are shot for no good reason" malady? I don't see it mentioned here or on your site, but I'm pretty sure I've seen you post that before. If so, I plan on using these seals in all my rebuilds from here on out .

(2) As mentioned, that ninja is rockin' the shocker! Your employee has a pretty, um, adventurous girlfriend

To the extent of failure of the seals themselves due to overheating, yes. It won't help if your rotor housings have shrunk in hot-spots or the plates have warped.

Not really. She was drawing up a "team logo" for him and his friends and put that in there because she had seen them flashing the sign. She didn't actually know what it meant at the time but it provided a lot of amusement, as you can imagine. I bought the rights to it because I thought it was cool and a bit subversive.

Yes, you can use them everywhere in the exhaust. Headers, cats, cat-back.

Turbo to manifold, yes. Manifold to engine, yes. Turbo to downpipe, yes. Anything that is M10x1.5mm, which is most everything in the exhaust except -- maybe -- the cats...I'll have to check that. I don't have cats on my car. Racing beat, BTW, uses all M10x1.5.
