supra TT motor in RX7

Hey guys,
I figured you guys would know how difficult it would be to do a supra motor + 6spd tranny installed and fabricated in an rx7. i know SP engineering did this. what type of gearing does the 5spd (and auto) RX7 have?
thanks,
Greg

Manual gearbox FD's have a 4.10:1 diff. Auto's have a 3.90:1 diff.

The 2JZ is a much taller engine then the 13B-REW so I can't imagine you'd get the hood to shut.

Actually a custom hood is not needed....some guys in Hawaii did the conversion without a custom hood....IMO it looks better without the ugly *** hood.

now, what type of problems, or costly installation/fabrication spots am i going to run into if i swap the engine and tranny in the car? If i do this, i would do a single turbo with fuel and AEM EMS.
thanks again,
Greg

Your best bet is the PM "Mikey" from the other thread that I posted. He will probably have most of the information you are looking for...

If it did run 12s thats because they used a manual gearbox plus street tires. We all know that 860whp in an RX7 plus a built auto tranny will run high 8s or very low 9s. I mean, 680whp went 9.2@154, so i would imagine another 200whp will go 8s with slicks.
