SA 2JZ-GTE Swap

SA 2JZ-GTE Swap
Where do I begin...? I’ve been a member on this forum for about 7 years now and after reading countless amount of threads with high horse power cars, I think its time I do something radical.
Two war zones later(Iraq and Somalia), I got out of the Marines Corp for reasons of not getting hurt. Six years after I got into a car accident which got the best of me and took my legs (go fish). Nonetheless, I guess if its your destiny you can’t run from it. However, my therapy is for the love of Rx7`s and thank God for the... Brap, Brap, Brap!
Well, since I’m paralyzed and numerous of auto transmissions breaking I’ve now decide to follow an inspiration from New Zealand and do a 2JZ Swap into a SA First Gen.

Here`re some pictures of the removal to begin cleanup for the 2J
This is going IN!!!
I`ll keep you posted.

Went to my friend`s body shop as he`s painting the engine bay and some other minor scratches... Car looks good but need more attention to detail.
As far as the conversion: I`ll be running a TOMS` TEC2 Remapped ECU. It has the Reeve Limiter Eliminated, Boost Cut Eliminated, Fuel Cut Eliminated, Timing Curve and Fuel Curve all remapped. I`ll also be installing HKS 264 cams and twin bosch. Autometer gages will be monorting the engines vitals.
ECU is rated for 28 psi but I`ll see if I need all that boost pressure, as a friend dynoed his BMW with a 2J and got 479 RWHP @ 13 psi, However, the BMW is outfitted with a manual transmission.
I`ve started to refresh the motor. pics are as follows:

So far, I’ve changed spark plugs for the denso racing ones, coil connectors, cam seals, crank seal, timing belt, water pump and setup the turbo oil feed / drain. It’s coming along nicely as scheduled.
Next is to relocate the alternator and paint the cover

1st... you`ll have to do is the prep and spray the letters in the color that you want.
2nd... tape of the number and letters.
3rd.... prep the cover and paint.
4th.... peal of the tape covering the number and letters.
5th... clear the complete cover
6th... wet sand and buff.
In my opinion it`s too much work!

Andre,
I'm curious to why you went w/Denso racing plugs? I always used NGK 3330 (7 heat range) with my single turbo supra and I'm using the same w/my 2jzFD. 6037 in a pinch if I can't find the 3330.

Roberto,
My cousin has a Supra and recommends the Denso Iridium IQ22, pricey but worth it. Also, I believe it crosses over to the NGK 3330 if I’m not mistaken. I’m just following his advise as he has tried the NGK 6097 but didn’t like the results with the high RPM breakup (35psi 9000rpm gapped @.28).
Furthermore, I don’t think I’ll be running that amount of boost since my setup is an automatic; but they were given to me free.
