Piston Engine in RX-7

Hey,

I was just wondering if it is at all possible to drop a Piston engine into a 2nd gen, like from a precidia or a protege. Im not saying im doing it i love the rotary. Im just curious if they are compatible?

thanks

If you had taken the time to search and read before you posted, you would have known why people are gonna start flaming you. But you didn't. So FLAME ON!

Been discussed too many times!

Short answer is yup, you can even put a couple gerbils in a cage with a wheel or rubber bands under the hood to power the Rx7.

Your choice of econobox motors would power the car, but it would be a slug.

If you really want to do the conversion, go to the site that was listed above and do a Chevy or Ford V8 swap.

But best not to and rebuild the motor or pass the car onto someone that wants to keep the Rotary alive...

flame on indeed, there are TONS of pistons in FC's, however a 4 banger would be an insult/waste of time!

Yes you can put a piston motor in your car, and dont worry about getting flamed. Its your car do what you want to it, if anyone really cared about the stupid rotary that much they would buy it off you, take it home, and feel wonderful about saving one of the highest horsepower boat anchors ever built. If this forum is so distrubing to them they could always just stop reading it, but that would be to easy.
