Hey guys this would be my first time here, and my second FC3S. My first was a Turbo II model. This time round I got a a GLU, that will be running a RB25DET from a skyline in it. It still gives me a perfect weight distribution and will be a great Auto X car. I will have pics up as soon as I get some free time. Look forward to many great conversations.

You'll be sure to have great conversation with a Rb motor in it!

Screw everyone else..if you have a RB swap i wanna see it.

Hell I dont even car is you put a ford escort (Cosworth) motor in it....as long as its a rx-7 and its fast and cheap then I am all for it. I hate all the anti-swap douche bags on this forum, they need to accept creativity.

90% of owners:
will keep 13B motor
will save up for 20B (but its a swap!) but never do it
will never run offsets more aggresive than +45
will never stretch a tire
will bitch and moan about everyone trying new things

I'm part of the other 1%. That 1% of posters who think about logic and cost/effectivness first. There is no purpose in swaping a RB25 in an FC aside from the uniqueness factor. You can pull out as much and even more hp out of a 13b-re or 13-bt for so much less money and hassle.
V8 swap are as easy as they come too with all the kits they make these days.

My way of thinking.

Well I do wanna stray away from the LS1/V8 crowd. There are 2 FD's here in NC that have the LS1 swap and they are nice, just not my cup of tea. I loved my Turbo II, but this time around I wanted something different. I know the potential of a RB25 and a 13B. I have owned a 240 converted for drag w/ a RB swap. This car is going to be a build thats satisfies my love for the styling of the FC3S, and the power potential/reliability of the RB motor.

Why not go with a 2JZ, the supra engine. Now THATS reliable, practicly unkillable.

Well, I have friends that have skylines, and they can get the parts I need, plus the RB25 parts are cheaper than the 2JZ parts, as well as the engine is cheaper than the 2JZ.

We are going to have a dilema.

Seriouly though a RB swap isn't really original, everyone swaps a RB in everything these days. I'm not flaming or anything but if I were to go the piston route I'd go with a BMW engine, it's more original and you never have to worry about cost/effectiveness ever again.

Why an rb25? compression is too high and their ceramic turbos suck and love destroying them selves. Rb26's are rad though

Well I thought bout the RB26 swap, but they have 25's at their hands. I will talk to them, since they are the RB specialist for that. It might not be original, but its not as common around NC. There are either LS1's or Rotaries. I would do a F20C, but thats to weak for this car, and I have VTAK as my DD.
