OK, I got board and had a whole day to do nothing so I polished up the cam covers an the intake.

Here's before:

http://www.msnusers.com/fuelcutswitc...to&PhotoID=133

And after:

http://www.msnusers.com/fuelcutswitc...to&PhotoID=194

It looks good in the picture but up close you can tell it was my first time polishing because I didn't use a fine enough grit sanding wheel when I was removeing casting marks/pits. But other than that, it looks sweet!

Stupid MSN web page crashed, none of my pictures work anymore.

So here is my new picture page:

And here is the latest progress on putting a mercury sable radiator/2 speed 3.8 liter Ford taurus fan

Ther you can see that the radiator is like 2 inches wider than the frame rails, so we are going to cut the rails, and split a piece of 3.5" thickwall tubing and make slots for it to sit in.

And there you can see that space is just a wee bit tight, but it will sit farther forward then it is, by just a little bit.

The radiator mounts?

Not yet, I am getting ready to go down to a steel shop, and but a piece of channel, and that will hold the bottom of the radiator inbetween the frame rails of the car. And the top will be bolted in in two places.

I'll get pictures once I get them made.

The motor mounts are 2 by 2 box tubine with a 3/8's cold roll plate on each end. And they use the stock rx-7 motor mounts, but I bought a set of competition motor mounts for it, to stiffen it all up a bit.

Are you planning on trying this to?

gotcha. i've been a supra fan for a long time, and i'm thinking about doing the swap. i've got an n/a that could use a bit more pep, and this motor is right down my alley. a couple of friends mine have been trying to talk me into for a long time now. the guy that built the car in this video link at the bottom of this post would most likely help me with my motor, so i know it's going to be strong. when i was trying to research the motor and stuff, i stumbled upon your thread. i've been having issues with cutting the firewall, though. i don't want to take away from any of the car's structural integrity, so i've also been considering a lt1 swap. the size of the 7M is worrying me. i've also considered a 1jzgte, but i'd rather not go full standalone, not enough time or money. anyways, that vid is here:

Yeah, everything is always sale.

But right now I'm gonna keep it until I get it running/ Driveing, because I have the money to do it. I posted it for sale because there was an RX-2 that I was wanting to buy.

I'm pretty sure if/when I finally drive it, I don't think that I would ever want to sell it.

And I saw that video before! That thing is awsome, whippin a 50 thousand dollar car (or how ever much it costs) with your MKII is just awsome!

Also about the fire wall, if you use a 7M I'm pretty sure it has to be cut, cut there is a guy that put a 1JZ into his 7, and he didn't cut the fire wall. But something happened to it not to long after he finished, and it over heated and seized up I believe. But I don't believe cutting the small square that the 7M need will weakin the car. We went back and put in 16 guage steel, se it may have even made it stronger.

I'll get some pictures of that to

thanks. yeah, that 1j rx7 had problems with the front sway bar. it didn't have one because of the oil pan clearance. i'm not sure if he ever put one in, but last i heard he hadn't. i'm really curious to hear how this thing is gonna run, or see some video of it. with some weight redux and some decent upgrades there is no reason (on paper) that it won't run similar times to an equally prepared MKII Supra and handle better.

Shoot, it should be way faster than a turbo supra, even with better mods. It will be close to 1000 lb. lighter!!!

And here is a picture of the clearance I have between the front sway bar/oil pan:

OK, here is pictures of the latest progress, the radiator/IC are mounted, and the only other cooler that has to be mounted is the oil cooler, and that thing is little, so posses no real problem, anyways here's pictures:

By the way....

Is anyone interested in buying everything I have right now exept the radiator/fan to put this motor, and everything into your car? Right now, about the only thing missing is the IC piping, which is not really a problem because most people probably want something more than the stock supra IC...

The only work you will have to do, is cut your hood... (I can also throw that in), and cut your fire wall (takes about 1/2 day to cut it, and remake a recess for the engine to sit in.

If anyone is interested PM me!

I canot believe that youre swappin in an engine that is less reliable than the 13b. Those 7m's suck with HG and oil problems and ****. And dont tell me that it can handle 710hp because some guy or one guy took it up there. I seen the 7m average hp output and its nowhere near 700hp. I can tell you this because I have friends with 7m's and know what they go threw with their engines. One already made the smart decision and swapped out the 7m in favor of the 1j. You cant make real power with the 7m anyways and w.e power you make with the 7m you could definately make with the 13bre or rew( reliably). Im not puttin you down or anything because we all have the right to do our will and do our own creations. But its not one of the brightest swaps that I seen.

your about 4 pages in the thread too late man

if you dont like what someone is doing, keep it to yourself because no one in this thread gives a **** about your "opinions". i think the swap is kinda cool, and ive been in a mkIII supra that was mostly stock, and it made some power for being in that boat of a car.

hey first of all, I wasn't bashing the kid, I was just surprised that he made a swap using a less reliable engine. I never hated on mkIII's, as I stated above, I have a few friends with them. I can care less if "you" dont give a *** about my opinion, its not addressed to you, so I really dont give a **** about what you have to say.
