whats a Turbo V?
ok you car now in uncharted territory the most practaced swaps at Turbo 2, or Ls1/t56 combo.
the tubro 2 nets you about 200hp in factory form
the LS1 nets 340hp.
the LS1 is cheaper to biuld in the US then a rotary.
that being said there is alot of people who dont agree with swaping in a LSx motor into a RX-7 saying it kills the "soul" of the car and what not.
personally i'm going an all together new route with a Volvo heavily modded B5234T (2.3L inline 5 turbo motor from an 850) with a Getrag trans behind it.

Keep in mind that since your starting with an N/A you'll need to change the diff as well. At Turbo II power or higher it can't handle much abuse.
I've wondered if/when someone would use a 5cyl. I hope your project will have a build thread with plenty of pics.

FC, full LS1 swap, doing everything yourself but buying mounting kits, headers, cooling system off the shelf, you're going to spend 5000-6000 dollars on parts.
FC, full LS1 swap, having it done for you - 7000-10000 dollars.
You can certainly spend more; I've probably got 25-30k in my car, and I do my own labor.
