Hey man, could you share the specs on that driveshaft?

I also have a tech2 kit, V160, and Cobra rear with a Samberg cradle.

Can you tell me more about your new motor mounts? The tech2 ones are WAY too soft.

A Supra/SC mount will not fit with a tech2 kit. The factory toyota mounts are angled.

So when you swaped to the 8.8 rear, what axles are you using or do you have to go custom?

Did you have to install spacers, or a washer stack, on the front ears of the 8.8 housing? I assembled mine to get ready to weld it and the front mounts points were way too low.

I'm on the verge of doing the same. I bought a very nice SS 4" exhaust, and the subframe is right in the way. I'd like to build some sort of structure over the subframe front cross bar in order to clear the exhaust.

That's a mean ride men. I would love to drop one of them in my b2200. But don't got the money for that kind of project but still real nice.

Awesome build. You will have a reliable rx7 with that 2JZ in there and make some great power doing it. A few of my buddies own Supras and those motors are unbelievable. Hard to deny the fact that the 2JZ is arguably the very best Japanese motor ever built.

Take the Tech2 frame, and cut out the center, and weld in 45° tubes to lower it approximately 2".

Haha. That's one way to do it, but I was asking about his Samberg 8.8 Cradle. I have one as well, but it blocks the exhaust path bigtime. I'd say about 2" of my 4" exhaust clear it.

The subframe for the cradle i did not have to mod. I just did one cut on my exhaust and that was it i was done but i also have my own built exhause so im not sure you can do that with another exhause it just happen that my exhaust happen to work out and be that easy. I already installed the driveshaft shop. Pro hubs im getting an axle this week. I also have rsx seats in the car now
