lol...okay okay I get it, guys.

If it works, it works. Great.

Up until your link, I had yet to see any reference information disproving my concern regarding airflow. Sorry?

I see the light now.

No need to turn the flames on full blast. :P

Anyways, back to the thread...

Have you ever heard a twin turbo 2J?
No offense to the OP, but they sound terrible.

3 cylinders separated to their own turbo changes the sound significantly.

They perform great, it's just the sound that's bad.

another great swap!!!

first of all great build ive been doing these swaps for years and i love em, my fc convertible was running twin greddy 18g's back in 2004 loved em got rid of them though. nothing better than a properly sized single. i see ur doing everything the right way but u havent addressed the differential and axels yet. they will break. def not as strong as the factory toyota diffs, also that big ebay throttle body tht you have there along with the 90 degree is going to be fun for you ive tuned tons of cars here in south florida and besides the o rings leaking that 90 degree will cause waves and wierd on throttle off throttle issues with the car running smooth, ive seen gains in the tourque curve just from getting a little more creative with your throttle side intercooler pipe. not bashing you at all , just trying to help out a little bit. get this thing running.

*whistles* The topic of his 90-degree elbow has already been discussed extensively.

And as far as your picture goes, although IT may appear correct...The OP's IC coupler does not have NEAR the amount of curvature in the bend as your picture represents. His piping (at least in the pictures) appears much more squared off it's 90-degree bend.

I had a 90-degree IC piping elbow that came off my turbo when I first bought my FD. That was the FIRST thing to go.

Brent, the picture you posted looks more like the BLUE IC coupler used in my picture at the time, where-as the red 90-degree elbow coming off my turbo appears to be more similar to the OP's IC coupler.

I realize that the air is going to be sucked into the motor regardless, and that it's more a necessary evil and hinderance rather than an actual restriction on the air flow...but I can't help but say "Ack!" "Gah!" or "Eeerrrr..." any time I see such a sharp 90-degree bend in any IC piping..

Most of the twins i've heard were the factory ones, but i see what you're talking about.

But man i just love the look of a set of after market twins

No h8, but you're doing it wrong.
Plenty of reliable rotaries in the right hands.

Clean build. Shiny!

, So what your saying is, your going to Txtk12 and will be out Winning, and you will be attending every MD, MIR drag event to represent what the Jz's all about? Or are you going to take it for a drive a few times a week and call it a day? With that being said, theres many high hp rotaries that "drive" there "street" car once a week/month/year. I wouldnt mind seeing it at some said events to back up your claims. It is a very nice car, Clean swap. Great Job looks good

its a nice build indeed, even though you made an MX-7 out of it
Can you get it weighed when you are done? Im curious about how much it disrupts the perfect balance of the car originally. Im curious about both axle weight distribution and corner weight distribution

oh wow, you've had a 3rotor?

How does that compare to a 2jz?

as far as the drive, and how enjoyable they are
