Ha, asking the STL people this ... of course they have no clue, hahaha.
R26B made 690 hp normally aspirated @ 9000 rpm. Rotaries are NOT banned from LeMans dufus, you can still run 3 or 4 rotors all you want. The problem is that piston tech has left behind rotary somewhat in the last 20 years, and you'd still be making the same amount of power from a 4 rotor. But the current BK Motorsports team is getting very competetive with a 3 rotor, which they've dubbed the R20B in LMP2 - and they're thinking of using a 4 rotor soon. But a 4 rotor is a heavy motor, believe it or not.

That's still great though. If I ever come across a ton of money I want to build a four rotor using two 12a's, but I doubt that would happen.
if I ever get a ton of money I'm gonna design a 3 rotor that is made out of more aluminum than a mazda-made 3 rotor... thats a heavy *** motor.
actually if I ever get a ton of money I want it all in sigles and I'll meet you guys at Niagara Falls... SUNDOWNERS y0!
