What boinger engine for a Lemons car?

I've got an FC outside the shop that may end up at the Florida PBIR Lemons race if I can come up with an engine and tranny to weld into it with some cut up coat hangers.

The $200 question is what is the easiest CHEAP piston engine to drop in the car? I'm thinking the sump location is the biggest problem. Fabrication is no problem, I just don't want to take the time. So 4,6,or 8 cyl., something I can run on a carb and hopefully its available in some P.O.S. car I can find on craigslist.

One option I've found in the business park my shop is in is a Buick of some sort that has a 3800 V6 AND IS fwd. It looks like I could take the whole front subframe/driveline and put it in the back of the rex. A lot of work, but it might be fun to make an abortion like that.

I don't want to waste a 13B on a car that probably won't come home.

54 views and nothing? There are a bunch of good engines out there, I'm just looking for something strange or simple or both.

The mid engine Buick driveline is looking better and better.
