Doesn't mean I didn't learn about the 4g from meeting others with dsm's.
My boy sana in charlotte has 3 1g's. A 700+hp track **** gsx, and two daily driven fwd 300hp+ daily drivers. My friend bobby had a 2g gst. My friend greg just bought a gst. Plus, i've been wanting an awd talon since i was like 12...... I've done my homework......
For the record, a 420a is not a neon motor. diamond star motors/dodge put it in ALOT of cars besides the neon. The neon also uses a completely different head design (as well as flat top, non relieved pistons) than all the other cars equipped with both 2.4L and 2.0L variants.
Everyone just asumes "neon" when they hear 420a. That pisses me off as much as hearing "crankwalk" and "4g63" in the same sentence/thread.

Just like the 4G63 isnt just in the DSMs its still considered the DSM motor. I hear people saying stupid stuff like swap in a 2jz or a 1jz, omgwtfbbqsaucehi2utehsuprazisqueenofuniverse. The only motor that you'll get more out of for the money/effort is a LSx. /discussion.

Whew glad I got that off my chest. Have you ever driven a car with these other engines? They feel NOTHING like an FD. Think of the FD like an F16, and a camaro like an F117. They're both fast, but feel completely different. Now lets say the F117 has badass engines and great thrust, but they're pushing around a tank, but the F16 has a finicky engine that's known to flame out on you. Great performance, when it's working.
2+2=4.
But I guess in the Wankel world, 2+2=1.
