i have to say jimlab seems to come off as a bit of a ***** for seemingly no reason even when he's wrong. It kinda makes me wonder what he's compensating for. I don't know maybe i'm wrong, just an observation.

So I just called tech2, and this is what i got
They currently have 3 cars in the making/contracted or what not...
and from what I can understand the total of the car build is for atm is 15k is and thats because they want the customers to want to build the cars and... they wont be making much profit at all on labor...
but for 15k basicly your car would be done and ready to go when you pick it up...

guy i talk with Mr. Carlos and he send me the list of the prices

but i get shock when i find that only the swap kit will cost me $2500 without the cost of the shipment , and that is double the price of the LS1 swap kit which is $1200

The suspension is an easy fix. Coilovers and having the car corner weight balanced.
The axle will most likely be a problem for anyone wanted to drag race or launch hard from a dig. Road racing with the stock diff will hopefully prove reliable.

With a single turbo conversion on the 2j the weight will decrease from the stock twins. There are many conflicting stats on what the actual weight increase will be with an aftermarket turbo kit. I guess we'll have to have one of the cars weighed to truly find out.

I'm more concerned about front braking than anything.

I'd have to agree on the braking part... this is just my .02 cents but as far as suspension goes coilovers should do the job just fine.. and a FC-TT core in your diff should be able to hold that power out... upgraded brakes are most likly a definate need since the cars weight would be heavier than before so it would be slightly hard to brake..

I couldnt really hear what the guy was saying on the phone ...I email services yesterday hoping to get a run down list of the parts prices and whats going to be done to the car... when I do get the information i will let you guys know

i just got the list an man that price is high to my seeing. the hood for 1000 i already have. the motor for 2600. i am getting a built head and all new seals and a low milage motor for 3200 with 272 cams. i have found the r154 tranny for 300. and i also already have the getrag v160 which i would love to use but u can't with there kit. not that big of a deal though.the thing i do like is the wiring harness whcih they priced at 450 which is a good deal if it is a direct plug and play. the factory diff can only handle so much so a single turbo on a 2jzgte good for 500rwhp will only last so long. and also the axels too. so it has its pros and cons

I honestly think its a great deal for 15. to have the car finished and ready to go.. the parts total up to around 12k and 3k for labor is not bad... some of the parts might be alittle over priced but they are not making much for the labor so that should cover it... If i hadnt spent my money stupidly I wouldve done this...( take the car down give them 15k to have them do it )

Think about it... 15k for lots more hp, and lot more reliability...

well it is not a single kit on it just the stock twins, stock fuel system, u can get the tranny for 500 anywhere and the hood for 1000 is kinda high but u r right for an over all price for a turn key its ok. but don't forget the shipping if u live far from them

I would go with the Cobra IRS diff conversion. The driveshaft mod wouldn't be much in the scope of things. A single conversion fuel, Cobra IRS, coilovers, and brakes.

There would not be much that could touch that. That would be my dreamcar.

I would imagine Roachdiddy would think that what tech2 is offering is a fair deal.

ok so cobra diff and axels added to their price of 15,000 would be around another 3,000 so now it is 18,000. next is the coilovers which r lets say 1,500 and brakes are 1500 so another 3,000. so now ya have a 21,000 bill and it is not single turboed with a fuel system and a piggy back or even a stand alone so it goes up from 21,000
