Same here. I started reading thinking this thread would be the one but it ended with a tragedy. Now im at a dead end. Don't know what to do with my FD conversion project now. Anyone know of a way to get a stock hood to work with the 2jz? I'm trying to see if I can get the stock hood to work so I'll know 100% that the Veilside Fortune kit's hood will work as well.

i actually bought the car and have a new subfame i made that clears the stock hood using a greedy style manifold. i did modify the front to make the TB exit to the front not at a angle. All i have to say about the prior swap parts is i canot belive there were 2 people that stupid, one dumb enought to fab something that poorly thinking its legit and another to let them put it on there car.

i am waiting on the exhaust manifold flange to start building the twin scroll manifold with dual vband 38's i already bought. ill be running a HTA86 i had on my civic, it made 748 on my civic at 32psi. i replaced the t3.82 hot side i had on it with a t4 1.06 so it should have a very nice power band on the 2j. i have a dual 255 setup i made with 8an feed and 6an return feeding a ross machine racing fuel raill and FIC 1650's(e85 here i come) i am looking to max out the turbo, i have no idea what that will be but i am guessing around 650whp( i need to look and seee what 75lbs per min turbos do on 2j's) i will be ordering my Pro efi in about a month so i should be trying to start it then. o yea im running a r154 trans with a os qiken twin disk. i am looking to do paint and wheels this winter and a 6speed v160 and cobra 8.8 rear after that.

Any updates?
With my 2JZ swap, we ended up relocating the steering rack forward to where it clears the oil-pan and is now completely straight across. It sits at the stock-height now as well.
We had to extend the steering column, shorten the tie-rods, and make some custom brackets for the front swaybars.
No bumpsteer issues now, though.
