this thread makes me laugh inside
they are both cool motors, LSx's are sweet, but you gotta admit that rotary engines are fascinating and can put out a lot of power as well for how small they are
I wouldn't be against an eventual LS1 swap but my 91 vert has, I'm fairly sure, the original motor with no rebuilds and runs flawlessly. bought it with 69K miles, have owned it for a little over a year and a half and have since bumped it up to 93K, still runs flawlessly and the only issues I've had along the way were peripheral parts, the radiator hoses which hadn't been replaced since the car left the factory.
Regardless of which motor you look at you can find stories of horror or good.
