Hey there. I'm kind of new to this forum along with the whole rotary thing. That being said I was wondering if you guys thought there could be any reasons why mounting a 13b-re(w) or possibly a 20b transversley would be a problem. Well as far as performance goes. Thanks in advance.
Honda? Sorry I didn't specify, I was thinking about putting one in my 91 MR2. I thought that would be pretty slick. I'm pretty sure it would fit although not positive, I was just wondering if it spinning a different way would make a difference at all, not wether it would fit or not.
u could make that work i bet hell if u can mount em in a beetle im sure the mr2 would be no prob but a lot of mods would have to be done biggest thing would be total custom flywheel and bell housing as well as mouonts etc.
besides the fabwork to make it happen, there is NO reason to stop you from dropping the rotary in a MR2. it would be pretty sick but it sure is asking for trouble putting a motor that is prone to heat related failure in the mid-engine location... not to mention the rotary is most impressive when turbocharged and then you get to have fun finding space for everything in that little MR2.
dont let me discourge you though, I'd love to see it! there are midengine turbo rotary powered autox cars (fiat X19, etc) in my area, theyre just not street legal at all.
