Well Priced Body Shop

I know this might not be the right place for this, but I just wanted to let you guys know that I had a very good experience with the Paint and body of my 73 Carina. I took it to a shop called D'Automan and the owner Dave was very cool. We worked out a killer deal on my car and they painted the jambs, under the hood, trunk, everything!!! The color is sprayed even and I honestly couldn't be any happier with the car. He does great work guys so if you need someone keep him in mind. The shop is located in Rancho Cucamonga and tell him that I recommended him.

The shop has a steady flow through it, but he manages it very well. My car was in and out in a little over 1 week. But I kept making changes to what I wanted done and then I had them paint my roll cage over after I screwed it up.

That's what I try to do. I'm not trying to copy anyone with my cars. The color is from the 2006 Lexus SC430 Pebble Beach edition. It's called Tiger Eye Pearl. Has some red and blue pearl in it with gold micro flakes. It came out better then I thought it would.

How much body work did you need. Can he fix dented chrome bumpers? Are you installing your weather stripping yourself or is Dave doing it? I just may pay Dave a visit with my R100....

The body of the car wasn't trash and was actually pretty straight when I took it there. But he had some cars with some pretty bad damage when my car was there and they came out very nice.

He doesn't work on bumpers, but if you are in the Pomona area I found this place called Ontario Metal Polishing and they are very resonable on chrome. They are going to remove all the bumper bolts and fill in th area where the bumper extension had a cut out on my bumper, then straight, strip and redip it for 215.00. My bumper is pretty jacked up too so there is quite a bit of work to do.

The guys name is Lalo, and the number is
(909) 590-0422

I'm not going to do that to Dave because all cars are different. But it was very resonable and in the neighborhood of what you'd pay for a POS Maaco or 1 day paint job.

I just noticed the stripe across the body(pic next to your rx-4). Nice detail.
