towing capacity for a repu
What is the tow capacity for an repu. I did a search and the only thing I can find is it has a payload rating of 1400lbs. I want to know how much it can tow. Thanks
Quite a lot. My friend towed an overbuilt sandrail on a large trailer which was originally intended for a lifted baja with 32" tires. It towed the sandrail from WA to some sand dunes in OR and back again just fine.
My REPU has towed my friend's REPU when his clutch lost its lining during some spirited driving. It could have towed way more.

I flat towed an FJ40 Landcrusier. It tipped the scales at 4500lbs with all its trail gear. Including the 6cyl that left me stranded.
I didn't even empty the REPU bed of all it contents.
But I can't answer for what Mazda rates it at as far as towing capacity.

what's the point of owning a REPU if you're not going to use it as a truck? otherwise it's just wasted potential.
the REPU had much higher towing capacity than the B-series pickups, for what that's worth. Hell, if I needed a tow vehicle I'd LOVE to use a REPU

You should make a rotary boat that is towed behind a rotary truck that has a rotary car on top of it. I saw this once but it was a piston speed boat towed from a dodge ram 3500 turbo diesel with a 10 pistion viper on top of it.
