Rx2 windows Smashed

I hope this never happens to you.

While I was out of the sate on vacation. Someone decided to smash out 3 windows on both cars left in the driveway. I only had liability insurance. So now the hunt begins for windows. If you have anybody knows where I can find any in SoCal, let me know.

Thanks,
Washington

Likely suspects

I was told by a neighbor that there was a party across the street and the cops were called out. As, I stated I was not even in the state to call them. Besides I not the type of person that would call them out. On the the other hand my next door neighbor would and has on me. So it may be a case of mistaken identity, but I really don't know. I have already gotten some leads on replacements. But all this really sucks.

Looks like a crime of passion, not too sure who I pissed off. Or just senseless vandalism??

Yep, it is Orville's old Deuce. I had it about a year, slowly gathering parts to get ready for paint.

Slight set back, may delay paint a few more months.

I do believe in Karma and pay back is a bitch.

I hope this make me paid in full.

I just hate having to fix something that didn't need fixing. Time, energy and money will be spent, I cannot turn back now.

Sorry for the bad luck. Let me know if you find any leads on windshields for the 4 doors. I need one too and they are almost impossible to find.

Wow, i feel badly for you. Seeing this stuff always makes me sad that people can be so ignorant.

I was looking at a thread last month on a junkyard somewhere in California or something that has a JUNKYARD FULL of old school rotaries in decent shape. I could not find it, but maybe that is the best place to look? Apparently all of these cars are doomed to be crushed so if you give the guy more than what the car is worth in scrap metal perhaps you can probably get it for cheap.

Sorry i cannot be more helpful.

Arrow Thanks for your posts

I knew I would get a sympathetic ear to voice my heart ache. Thanks to some responses, I may have found the glass for the doors. However the front windshield may have to come from Australia $$$.

Quick question: Are both sedan and coupe front windshield the same? The answer may help from making a costly mistake.

Thanks for your comments,

Washington

Nope, I believe there are slight differences between the two because the sedan has a 1" taller roof.

Totally sucks.

If you can find a junker sedan with good windows pick it up. It will probably be cheaper, and you can get some extra parts while you're at it.

I know for sure 100% that the windshields are different between the coupe and sedan.

Opportunity lost

Jesuscookies: I once had a chance to pick up a parts car, it was in great condition body wise but passed on the offer $1200. I just did not have the room.

Re: rx2 windows

Thanks to Crit and bwaits for pointing me in the right direction. The new windshield is coming from Colorado from a company in Texas. For those people wondering, it was the last one.

Thanks everybody for your posts,

Washington
