Just woundering, was it an original windshield or was it molded from an old windshield?

 

It was the last original for 4-doors. The 2-doors dried up long ago.

 

I don't have the windshield in my possession but I think it old stock re-manufactured not Mazda OEM.

I just picked up the driver side windows. I will be putting them in this weekend and have to wait for the windshield to come in.

I plan to have it painted so and I know that will be some rust around the front and back windshield. Should I have it worked on before installing the front windshield?

Someone smashed 2 windows on my GTI for no apparent reason.

 

Yes, let them make any repairs to the rust before the new one goes in.

yea, another reason is that if you put it in you run the risk of it breaking when the take it back out, so just leave it wraped up un till the body work is done. Plus the same person might come back and breake the new glass.

 

Yea, I am planning on cleaning out my garage and putting it in there.

 

Hey I have a passenger window, actuallly a whole door.

I thought it was a driver's side .... sorry

I parted this car back in 98or99 and had to keep the door because it was decent.

but, I have a coupe soo....

I have to pull the window to figure out shipping and package it up.

L.A.- passenger windows (Where I met the son of the owner, whom you brought it from.)

Besides buying horn button, gas cover, emblems, glove box door, windshield motor and interior plastics online from ebay that came from Australia, New Jersey, Florida and Oregon.

As you can see, I have put in time, effort and money to continue where you left off. As I said before, I don't plan to sell but if I do you will be the first to know.

finding a windsheild for a rx2 is like finding a crystal skull.

 

Thanks to the forum, I was able to find probably the last new windshield in north america. I was considering buy from Aus. which would have cost about $800-900. I really got lucky.

 

i wonder how they make molds out of windshilds, we could have an arson of RX2 windshields if we could get someone to do it.

 

It's all about money. I wonder how many cars are still rolling that someone would find it profitable to manufacture?

 

I think the question is not how many are rolling but how many are worth fixing. Anyone know how many RX2s were produced for the states?
