Repu seat belts needed

So I put some buckets in my 77 Repu and the stock buckles are too long. I was led to believe that the first gen RX7 buckles would work, but I bought some and they don't.
anyone know of any cheap alternatives out there?

Because the REPU only came with a lap belt, any modern style shoulder/lap style belt will require custom work to mount the top point. I'm guessing the bottom holder will also need some attention. I acquired some RX-8 seats I'll be using and will need to fab the cab for the seat belts.

My 77 has shoulder belts. I am specifically looking for help with the buckle. Thinking they might be similar to some of the older rx’s Out there.

Seatbelts have a shelf life. Now would be a good opportunity to just buy a new set. There are websites online that you can order custom belts for any car, just specify the buckle type and length/style.

Both our 74's have shoulder belts as well. I have been wanting to install a retractable set, and I think it can be done, I just haven't gotten further than looking at seat belts on e-bay.

the 77's came with a retractable set. I might just have to look into custom buckles.

I don't know if you still need seat belts but I got some retractable ones from a newer Mazda that work pretty well.
