oil filter, and other questions.

what kind of oil filters do you guys use. and what type of oil.
i think i have asked before but i dont remember. the filter i bought
last time was huge, and i didnt like it so i used one i had bought for my 88 RX7. and it worked fine. Also has any body used one of thsoe block things so you can add in a oil temp and oil pressure guage. umm oh and how bout filter relocating kits? pics if possible lats matt22

i use castrol 20w50 oil, current filter is fram but only cause it was free. i also have that aluminum block under the filter for the addition of a pressure guage.

The blocks do work. They will let you add mechanical temp and pressure gauges. 1/8th NPT and 3/8 NPT on our blocks and most others.

Oh, and on the filter - I always use a Mazda filter. Any brand will prob work just fine. I have just always run them.

ya but what fitment? first gen? 2nd gen, etc. thanks i will have to pick one of those up soon.

THe Mazda Filters fit every Rx...no matter the year....just picked one up at the dealer yesterday...about $9.00
