Need Help With Windshield Clips

Does any one know where I can get the clips for the windshield moldings for a 1973 Mazda RX-2 Coupe. Any help will be appreciated.

Have you tried your local auto glass shop? I found some locally for my 7 when managed to break the brand new ones I bought from Black Dragon. Not sure how many different types of clips Mazda used in thier older cars, but I doubt that they had different clips for each model.

Hello All

If I was you I take one out and go to the local auto body shops and see if they can match it,

Like Trocoid said, its got to be something similar to the Mazda clips on the market!!

I believe you can use either "ford" old school clips or 1979 Mazda RX-7 metal clips. That is what I used on my old RX-3 wagon and they fit like a glove.

I orde someclips for the back glass from Australia but the price was way out there $75.00 to be exact. I now need some clips for the front windshield. I will try to find the clips locally. Thanks for your help.

I know this is an old thread but did you ever find the clips for the front? Aren't the same as the rear?

Plastic rx7 clips are garbage, they bend and snap easily. The Reveal brand clips for '83 on T-bird and Topaz rear clips worked well for me.

Most auto body/paint stores will have them. Get the short ones; for ford iirc. I just got a box of about 30 for less than $20.

Try your local windscreen shop or "auto glass supplier" they will be a LOT cheaper than buying from mazda.
