My pink thing...

Hey guys,

I've been cruising this forum for awhile but lost touch with it as I sold my FB. Ever since then I wanted another rotary powered car. I built an AE86 for drifting and parted it out down to the chassis. I was about to sell the chassis but couldn't do it in the end. I ended up finding a 13b from an FB and got it for a steal. Pretty much everything I needed minus the engine mount. After gathering allot of parts, mainly the rear end, it's now time to mount the engine.

The first picture of Gina on four wheels. I parted out the LSD and am now running with a MK1 Supra rear end.

Supra rear end, custom panhard bar, TRD springs, Koni shocks.

13b playing peek a boo.

Mocking up the engine mount.

Engine mount which needs to be welded in.

Stripped interior, need to modify the transmission tunnel.

Team elFuego.

I'm in the process of cutting the transmission tunnel. Once I get that out of the way I can mount the engine and then make a transmission mount.

Stay tuned.

gDiddy

PS. I'll have more shots of the engine when it's mounted and running. Oh yeah, it's got a 45 Weber DCOE on it.

That's funny, I always joked around with putting my FD's motor into my 5th-gen Celica if I came across an LS1 for cheap to swap into the FD.

Keep us posted!

Hmmm. I'll see what I can do to fix the picture issue. I'm not sure what's wrong though.

I cut the transmission tunnel yesterday and test fitted the engine on the mount. I'm hoping to have it mounted in the next few days so I can start putting it together.

I sorted out the rear braking system which is the stock MK1 Supra system. I'm able to connect the hard line coming from the front end directly into the Supra's brake splitter.

Also started wiring the direct fire ignition. A MSD 6AL is going in. I remember wiring one of these for the same car but a carb'd 4AG engine. I started, this thread, to help me sort out the igniter wiring.

I don't have any update pictures but I have some engine shots, and the Weber that's going in.

Enjoy

PS. I used, this website, as a guide for the direct fire conversion.
