Once again spending way too much time making a simple part complex. But hey, that's what makes it such an enjoyable hobby. But I need to stop messing around and get this thing to DGRR!

Fuel level sight gauge. There will be no electric level. I don't want to add wires and clutter if it's not necessary.

Starts off like this:

Size: 107.8 KB

Drill holes for tapping. My lathe is down right now, so I did this all in the mill.

Then swapped to this collet block to make it look fancy

Plain vs. Fancy. I think it was worth the extra 30 minutes to do this.

Annnnnnnddddd..... Done. Time to put some gas in it and see if she runs! Hopefully, now that I can actually adjust my fuel pressure correctly, and it has a return line to not overrun the fuel bowl. It will actually run half decent. Instead of over flowing the float so bad the car would run for about a minute even after I disconnect the battery, lol.

Well... a little over 3 years since I have posted anything. Not much has been done in that time. most of it the car sat as I was unsure of the direction i wanted to take with the car. Now I have a decent idea. So... out comes the 12a street port. and progress on the Renesis PP build begins!

Dusty ol' Bitch. Time to get some love.

Mocking up the Reni-PP with some cheap headers. There will be some modification needed for them to fit. but saves me a ton of time on starting from scratch.

The engine is just kinda sitting there resting on the sub-frame. I will be pushing it back and keeping it about that low. The Renesis is about 1.5" longer than a normal 13b. So I wanted to keep the weight as centered as possible.

I am using a 51IDA Racing Beat Weber. This flange was for 48mm. So I needed to open up the bores some.

Intake manifold has been cut to size. I made it the shortest I plan to go, this way I can easily and length to the runners or the Velocity stacks to see if another length would give me more usable power.

The V-band connection might be an overkill. But, I wanted to give the Rx2 the quality it deserves. I do not plan to shortcut this car.

Few pics of the manifold mocked up (Not yet welded) with the Webers. The Webers are in good condition. But I plan to have them Powder Coated to clean up the look some.

Them horns tall enough for you? intake looks clean but I wouldn't go solid mount on the engine if staying carbureted, that float bowl might splash fuel with heavy vibrations

I remember watching this RX-2 in an AutoX even in Sioux Falls SD in 2009-2010 & was trying to save up the money to purchase it, but I was too late. I was a really sad day, but I kept looking. Decade later I found another one in a lil rougher shape in Bennet Colorado and just scooped her up a couple weeks ago. Beautiful car man!!! you got any new updates?
