Very nice! is it my imagination or is your engine set back, and if so how did you relocate the shifter? am putting a t2 engine in mine this summer and can move it back about 5" but will have to relocate the shifter forward the same amount and relocate the starter to the top of the bell housing. More pictures would be wonderful, see some really neat things on your build.

I set the motor back as far as I could manage without doing a shifter mod. It works well in a "Book" chassis. Also shifted it about 6 inches to the passenger side for chassis balance and foot room.

Here are some pics showing the engine position mock up. You can seen the shifter is not too far back.

Shifting everything to the passenger side also makes room for the starter. Got to have skinny passengers or a chassis wider than 42" to do more. I won't be having passengers. This is a track car only. Too Scary.

Love the way you have thought about access for quick repairs. Mine is road only but these things are high maintenance due to light weight and sometimes hard usage. Would love to be able to quickly remove my cowl. Your firewall location gave me the false impression that the engine was further back than it is. Your design and workmanship are outstanding. bookmarked your build and will spend some time there later,

Very nice build, congrats. Noticed on your test drive the car was idling a
little high or was I reading the tach wrong?

Yes. Still playing with the carb. I'm running a 48 IDA with a pure stock 12A and custom header complete with 3" pre and main silencers. This is just a chassis development motor until my bridgeport race motor gets built. The idle jets are a bit rich. I only have them open 1/4 turn but it runs!

Some vids of the last few autocrosses. The RB presilencer and muffler work very well. The car sounds really good at idle and stays within sound limits at full song.
