Well i was at the bone yard looking for a alternator nut and came across this 72 rx3 on its way to the crusher. I offered a good amount to save the car and got it. It has minimal rust but does need lots of parts. Im having a hell of a time tracking parts down. But here is a pic.

states like year one goodmark, like so, these are very beautiful cars and we
don't have that type of aftermarket support, that's sad......

Yea i agree. I have met and know people who have the parts i need but greed takes the best of them.Even close friends dont wanna sell me parts for it. Most dont understand that rust is a cancer once it starts it dont stop no matter if its in the sun or rain or inside. Its sad really the cars rot till too much damage is done to them. They are tin metal jap cars. They are not made like american cars.
On a side note i did find a guy in texas that is a super great guy that has everything i need and i will be buying many many pars off of him.
For those who did not know of this company i came across them last night. They are like year one in a way and so far the only ones doing this that i have found so far but im confident that someone has the tooling dies to make more parts unless mazda is hoarding them for them selves.....

RX2 coupe

I found it sitting in a pasture in Sweet Home. Parked for the last 20+ years.

Rotary Direct. Mazda reproduction Body Parts
Thanks for the link, thats awesome! I wish they had more RX2 suff but I guess little by little. I think a read somewhere that Mazda sold the dies and what not to some company a few decades ago.

while it would take too much to make this a show car restoration, it def screams racecar or a really fun driver with the right drivetrain combination. Best of luck with the project. Looking foward to the build thread

no such thing as too much lol. Buddy restored his car and it was in worse shape. But a drag car will suffice but it will still be all pretty

That orange Rx2 looks like it needs to be pulled out of that yard and saved, or stripped completely for panels, floor pans, glass, clips, etc... Looks like a saver!

i picked up a 76' rx-4 a few years back out of some ones back yard. because its a 76' and im in california its pretty much yard art. last weekend however i scored two pre-smog REPUs. im pretty stoked but sadly one has a lot of rot in the cab and the other someone cut the flairs off. now i just need a motor and trans.
