Have you guys seen this before? 8 rotor skycar

perhaps proof the rotary engine is the greatest?

The Article
Moller Aviation

searching for "kansas city rx7", somehow i found an article on this that was done back in 1999, so this may be old news, but i didn't see anything about it on the forums before.

Yep, I already knew about that. I think it may have helped the rotary move into the application of aviation.

They said it is $950,000 but the guy hopes to get them around $60,000 in the future.

I thought he wanted to get it down to $30,000 (the same as a luxery car) or a helecopter, or maybe the current price is as high as a helecopter? I can't remember. That was the story back in '97-'98 when I first learned about it and the Rotapower engines it uses. It has eight 530cc twin rotor engines. That means if one fails, seven will still be running and you can land safely. Not bad.

The was some show on "Discovery" where a guy made a hovering craft out a disc with 8 rotary engines turning horizonal fans mounted in the craft.
It didn't look near as safe as the one above.

thats the same guy doing this rotary sky car. Paul Moler
He did the disc to prove that the engines would do the job.
