Custom oil pan for a 13b
I need to build a custom oil pan for a 13b the stock one interferes with the steering rack.
The oil pan needs to look like the drawing below. What I am trying to get a sense of is how small can I make measurement A and B. Can A = 0 inches and B = .25 inches. How small is too small? Please keep in mind drawing not to scale. Thank you in advance for any constructive advice.

when you find and answer to this I want to read it cause I am making an oil pan too. was planning on puting the sump entirely on the front half of the engine and only having a flat plate from the motor mounts back.
I didn't see your drawing... where was it?

I posted something about the same question about 3 months ago and didn't find an answer... I was worried that there would not be sufficient drainage from the flywheel end of the engine. I won't find out on my own for some time to come... send me pm if you get any pertainate info?.. .
thanks

I personally use rx4 oil pans they r alot thinner on the back since the oil pressure regulator on them was alot smaller than 75 and newer engines causing better oil pressure at all rpm ranges
